Where do I meet Naomi for treatments or screenings?

Are there online or remote options for treatment?

Unfortunately, Naomi cannot provide screenings or treatments virtually, as she has to physically measure and assess your body and her treatments are hands-on. However, if you would like to ask her questions about exercises you are doing, something in your recovery, or gain further insight on injury prevention, contact Naomi to schedule an Online Private Session.

Payment & Insurance

How much do Naomi’s services cost?

Naomi’s services are not billable to insurance. What age client does Naomi work with?

Naomi is professionally qualified to work with all ages and has worked with clients from the ages of 7-103 years old over the past twenty years.

What level of dancer does Naomi provide services to?

Though typically her clients are pre-professional dancers, Naomi services all dancers—beginners through professionals.

Does she offer classes not currently listed on her site? If I was interested in Naomi offering another kind of workshop for my students, could she provide that class?

Absolutely! Naomi has much content up her sleeve but aims to post only a few options at a time. If you have an idea, there’s a good chance Naomi has already conceived of the course; and if not, she’d be happy to build one that aligns with your studio’s or students’ needs.

The “Dance PT” Difference

What is Naomi not providing me with?

Naomi is not providing you with outpatient rehab services. She will typically refer patients to outpatient rehab if they need more than basic injury prevention education, screenings, and performance optimization services. She has done this with more than one client, which lead them to receive proper diagnoses from doctors—one of them finally getting out of a wheelchair!

What’s unique about Naomi’s Teacher Workshops? Why are they significant when my staff are already trained in ballet?

Many teachers have years of experience and training in the art and technique of ballet; few have expertise in dance physical therapy that specially serves a dancer’s body, movement, and goals. A lot of injuries in dance often result from working incorrectly, perhaps honoring traditional approaches over science-backed methods. Teacher workshops are an investment in your teachers as well as all of the dancers they guide, shape, and instruct.

How could Naomi’s Student Conditioning Clinics serve my school (in addition to ballet classes)?

Naomi’s Student Conditioning Clinics are designed to be supplements to regular technique class. They would be a great addition to your summer intensive program, fall workshop, winter recovery session, or a spring into show-shape session. Teaching students directly how to grow in their foundational foot strength, practice safe extensions, or how to properly cross-train for strength over bulk will impact their performance in class and on stage. Think of the clinics as mini-workshops that take a deep dive into the issues you are noticing in class but don’t have the time to address.

What’s the difference between Naomi’s services and a regular physical therapist who is covered by my insurance?

Physical therapists are a helpful resource in your recovery or practice. However, those who lack personal experience and knowledge in the intricacies of dance technique may assist you only so far in regaining full participation in class and performance. Naomi’s unique understanding of both fields bridges the gap, as she can assist you in sustaining your optimum conditioning while you’re recovering. Naomi’s expertise in the neurological field can also help to augment your overall recovery as you train not only your body, but your brain to dance better.
